DJ King Has been in the wagon box since 2015 giving him 5 years of experience. DJ’s hard work ethic has helped him become a contender in the CPCA. 2019 saw DJ having his most successful year finishing 12th in the standings. DJ had 3 Top 5 runs, 8 top 10 runs and 19 top 15 runs in the 2019 season. He also had an impressive 4 top 10 aggregate finishes and 8 out of 9 top 15 show finishes. At one-time King was registered for the CPCA outriding school however he was drafted by the St. Louis Blues and went on to play in the NHL with the Blues and Washington Capitals. DJ and Chantal along with their boys Jacob and Drew won the prestigious Family of the Year award at the 2019 CPCA banquet this season and DJ also took home the Bruce Bremner award for most consistent barreling. DJ and his team will be hard at work in 2020 to reach the top ranks and hopefully get an invite to the 2021 Calgary Stampede.

How did you get into Chuckwagon Racing: I grew up around the sport and was always interested in it. I knew I wanted to get into it once I moved on from hockey.
Most Memorable Chuckwagon Racing Moment: My rookie season. Going into my third season I’m looking to keep on improving.
