2019 was Louis’s 3rd year in the wagon box and I think it is easy to say that it was a very successful year full of improvement with 2 Top 15 runs and 7 Top 20 runs. Louis also finished in the Top 20 at 2 of the 9 tour stops. Louis’s hard work earned him the 2018 Most Improved driver award which he can add to the shelf with his 2017 CPCA Rookie Driver award. Louis’s dad Clifford got into chuckwagons and hired drivers Billy Joe Villeneuve, Ken Studer & Barry Hodgson. With all the support Louis and his family have gave out to the chuckwagon community it was no surprise when they won the 2018 Kevan Mayan Memorial Award – Family of the Year is presented to the Chuckwagon Family in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the Chuckwagon way of life. “Warm-hearted, outgoing, supportive, loving and generous. With the success Louis has had in the short time he has drove I’m sure there will be much more success to come.

How did you get into Chuckwagon Racing: My dad, Cliff Stanley, has always been a huge fan and took me to the races. Over the last 4 years I’ve been helping my dad’s drivers out on weekends of races which got me into the sport. In this last season I’ve been working and training towards driving my own wagon.
Most Memorable Chuckwagon Racing Moment: Being part of Frog Lake’s 1st year of chuckwagon races at their own track.
