With Tarp Auction season just finishing up, it was great to see such positive results.  Our economy still appears to be up and down but the love for the sport of Chuckwagon Racing is full steam ahead.

We started out with the Calgary Stampede Canvas Auction on March 22nd.  The weather was chilly outside but inside things was heating up.  Total amount of bids for the 36 drivers was $3,238,000.00 which was an increase of $815,500.00 from 2017.  Average bid was $89,944.00. The sale saw some new sponsors which is great for the sport and then there were plenty of returning sponsors which have been there to support the sport of Chuckwagon for many years.

April 10th was the date for the Denham Ram Tough CPCA Finals Tarp Auction in Lloydminster, AB.  We saw 22 drivers sell for a total of $183,750 with the high bid going to Kris Molle (PWM Steel) for $20,000.00 and the average bid being $8350.00; this was an increase of $61,750.00 from 2017.

If you missed out on the Tarp Sales but would like to sponsor a Chuckwagon at some races or just become an overall sponsor with the CPCA just contact our office manager at 870-870-1885.

Please stay tuned as were inch closer and closer to the start of race season, I will have more driver/outrider interviews along with some videos and articles of spring training.

See you at the Track,
