After a 30 year career as a pony chuckwagon driver, Dale made the jump to a thoroughbred wagon in 2024 and took home the 2024 WPCA Top Rookie Driver award.

Dale began driving pony wagons at the young age of 15 and from that point on won 10 show championships with one of them being at the Ponoka Stampede.

Dale owns a trucking company, Y Express Ltd. and he is also a rancher. He and his wife Lindsay have two kids, Taya and Daxton and they call Sundre, Alberta home
