Leslie’s start in wagon racing was different than most; we often see generations of it but in this case, it started as a bet. Leslie started hanging around the King, Fiddler, and Lajeunesse barns and next thing he knew he was being dared to start. The rest is history.

Even though there is lots of banter that goes on between the crew Leslie credits DJ King, Calvin Fiddler, and Kale Lajeunesse for taking him in and under their wing.  In 2022 Leslie was awarded the Rookie Driver of the CPCA. Since his start, Leslie has worked continually to improve his driving and looks to do the same in 2025. Leslie’s goals for the 2025 season are to run clean, safe, and move up in the standings.  Leslie has 4 boys Darwin, Eldon, Courage, and Jonas and makes his home on Goodfish Lake Cree Nation.
