Jon grew up in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan on a cattle ranch where he developed his enthusiasm for ranching and horses. He currently operates his own construction and carpentry business, Blatz Roofing and Reno’s, that he has operated since 2015. Jon was presented with the opportunity to get into the sport of chuckwagon racing through fellow driver Glen Myette during the summer of 2022 where he had the opportunity to sponsor his wagon. He has been loving his time on the track ever since! Jon credits his experience as a sponsor for giving him the desire to be a professional chuckwagon driver. Jons top priority is safety and continues to learn and develop as a driver.
